Laboratory tests demonstrated that the mixture of traditional mortar with the addition of 4% activated hydrochar showed excellent thermal, mechanical, and acoustic performance. The results achieved are:
- Thermal conductivity → 0.8 W/mK
- Sound absorption coeff. (1000 – 2000 Hz) → α = 0.4 – 0.5
- Compressive strength → 4.5 N/mm2
